Victor Okunowo
Born in Nigeria and raised in London, Victor Okunowo has always had exposure to a wide variety of cuisines which fuels his approach to cooking today.
Drawing inspiration from cooking with his mother when he was younger, Victor aims to serve food which is full of flavour. With a decade of experience cooking with renowned chefs such as Nigel Mendham, Nuno Mendez and mentorship from Andrew Cole, Victor is highly skilled and brings his expertise and flair to Talking Drum.
Prior to becoming the Head Chef at Talking Drum, he has hosted highly successful pop ups, supper clubs and catered for exclusive galas. Victor aims to provide a refreshing insight into West African cuisine with innovative techniques whilst showcasing the rich cultural heritage he has grown to love from childhood as well as through his travels.
